Summer Schools

Summer schools are educational and activity-based residential programmes run by private providers, typically in boarding schools where the pupils have returned home for the holidays. They allow students to experience lessons, language learning and activities in a far more relaxed setting than during term time. They offer full board and accommodation, and are tightly regulated for safeguarding to ensure the safety of your children away from home.

Some programmes are designed to give pupils a taste of boarding school life to see if they would adapt to studying away from home.

Summer schools offer a life-changing experience for most children as they learn about new cultures, improve academic and language skills and enjoy activities, like horse-riding, tennis, golf, games, dancing, singing, music and a myriad of other possibilities.

The UK has a vast array of residential summer school options which can be booked for a period of two – six weeks, depending on budgets and personal circumstances. School holidays for children in most countries are typically six weeks long and can be tough on both children and their parents.  It’s a long time to keep busy! A summer school away from home provides a perfect opportunity to travel abroad, meet other children from different countries and backgrounds – and develop language skills while enjoying lots of exciting and stimulating worthwhile activities.
