We would always advise having suitable insurance in place when planning to travel or study abroad. This will cover you for unexpected sickness, dental care and hospitalisations. It will also cover for any loss or theft of your personal belongings, or cancelled travel plans. In addition, although very rare, student insurance can help cover the cost of legal fees and damages if you are sued for an accident.

There are two policies:

• Multirisk for EU and UK destinations
• Multirisk + Cancellation for EU and UK destinations
  This policy includes a cancellation benefit prior to arrival of up to £7,500 for health problems or visa refusals.
